NCA’s Tshepo is a kick above the rest
Tshepo Moela says he worked really hard to make his dream of playing in the Bill Steward tournament a reality.

POLOKWANE- Tshepo Moela (13), a Gr 7 learner at Northview Christian Academy, was recently chosen to take part in the Bill Stewart Primary Schools Football Tournament. This tournament will take place during the winter school holiday.
“I tried out for the team last year, but was not chosen. I really wanted to be in the team and decided to work hard to make my dream come true. When I heard I made it this year, I was proud and happy.”
Tshepo started playing soccer when he was still very young and says he likes the sport as he can play with friends anywhere they want.
He practices twice a week and as much as possible informally with friends.
“Playing soccer takes my mind off everything else. I focus only on the game and relax, not thinking about anything else. Some time ago, I injured my knee and had to sit out for a while. That was not fun at all.”
During the athletics season, Tshepo also represents his school in discus, but says soccer is his favourite sport.
“The Bill Stewart Tournament takes place in Pretoria over five days. I am really excited to go and cannot wait for the holiday to start. My best local team is Kaizer Chiefs and nationally, I support Bafana Bafana.”
Tshepo’s advice to anyone who dreams of succeeding in the game, is to have discipline.
“Keep away from those friends that will lead you into trouble. Choose your friends wisely.”
