POLOKWANE – Laerskool Ivy Park hosted a two-day-athletics meeting on their sports field where the young athletes participated in shot put, discus, sprints, high jump, long jump, hurdles and javelin.
The field events took place on Thursday and the sprints on Friday to accommodate all the learners taking part. The principal, Willem Opperman wished all the learners well prior to the meeting.

Although the athletes had a few tries at the items, there was definite progress throughout the day.
The highlight athlete was Neo Mawasha who jumped over the bar successfully and continuously, the higher the bar went, in the boys u/11 high jump, which left coaches Daniël Snijders and Annette Grobbelaar impressed.
