Noorderland honours top teachers with weekend retreat

POLOKWANE – To celebrate the outstanding 2024 Senior Certificate Exam results, staff of Noorderland High School recently enjoyed a weekend getaway at the Park Hotel in Mokopane.
The entire school staff was invited to this special event, which served as a thank-you for their dedication throughout the year.

The retreat also highlighted the achievements of teachers who contributed significantly to maintaining the school’s high academic standards.

Top-performing teachers were recognised for their contributions:
First place went to Raphaahla Sarah Modiba, the business studies teacher, who achieved a 100% pass rate, 19 distinctions, and had two learners who scored 300/300 overall.
Second place was shared by Ramadimetja Rachel Mpya and Makae Ellen Klaas, the Sepedi Home Language teachers, who collectively also achieved a 100% pass rate and 18 distinctions.
Third place went to Tlodupjane Lesterina Masenya, the English First Additional Language teacher, whose learners earned 18 distinctions and a 100% pass rate.
Principal Thabo Ratema congratulated the top three teachers.
