Orange energy displays some sense of direction and purpose; it is certainly dynamic, but more thoughtful and controlled than explosive red.
Curiosity is one of the driving characteristics of the orange vibration and this brings exploration and creativity, particularly on a practical level. Orange is learning to experience the world with a sense of play and enjoyment. Exploring and reaching out can sometimes be painful too.
Learning by exploring is somewhat risky, full of unknowns – this is the element of excitement, but it can also bring shock and stress. Yet because the orange energy is purposeful and has an instinct for moving on, it can creatively remove blocks to restriction and stagnation.
Orange represents instinctive rather than intellectual or thought-out problem solving.
A balance of orange energy brings a willingness to get involved, to “get one’s hands dirty” with practise exploration.
It gives the ability to fill time creatively and to be aware of the needs of the body. Wearing shades of orange in times of stress, after a shock or a surprise can help the body to return to a state of balance.
Orange peel, washed first, or from organic sources, makes a soothing tea that aids digestion and helps to relax the body and release any feelings of stress.
Put orange in your life when there is…
• A feeling of bleakness and boredom, particularly where there is a sense that time is rally dragging.
• A lack of interest in what is going on around you, even to the degree of disdaining to become involved in any way.
• A resentment of changes in familiar routines and an obsessive need to have things in their “proper” place.
• Over-seriousness – taking oneself too seriously, being unable to see humour and playfulness in life.
• A fear of experiencing pleasure through the senses and of enjoying sensuality.
• An inability to let go of the past. This can be especially apparent after an accident or shock where the mind continually revolves around the issues involved – the “what if….” and “if only I had done this instead of that ….”
• A problem with blocked experiences in life, such as a decrease in personal creativity.
Have fun and enjoy your orange.
