Maungani Cool Masters receive soccer kits
ISO-Q Consulting donated 28 soccer kits to the Maungani Cool Masters
ISO-Q Consulting donated 28 soccer kits to the Maungani Cool Masters on Saturday.
The ailing Cool Masters received a complete soccer kit with socks, shin guards, soccer boots and soccer balls.
ISO-Q Consulting’s business development manager, Abram Luruli, said the donation was part of their corporate social responsibility programme to support young people in sport.
Luruli said the company believed that, through their support to clubs in the rural areas, skillfull stars would emerge and play for the Premier Soccer League teams one day.
“This is only the beginning. We are going to support other clubs in the rural areas as well. We need women to be involved in sport. We have netball kits and it will encourage us to see ladies from the rural areas playing for Banyana Banyana,” he said.
He said his company assisted communities with projects that were sustainable and would bring them income. “We are doing all this to positively impact the lives of the people. People should organise themselves into groups so that we assist them with facilities,” he said.
Cool Masters manager, Morgan Khoza, said the donation came at the right time when they didn’t have a complete kit.
He said they wore worn-out T-shirts and their image needed some polishing.
“This generous donation will bring hope to the players. We are training boys from the age of 10 to 17 years and one of them, Given Khoza, is now playing for the senior team in the villge. We also have promising players like Phindulo Tshihume and Rabelani Mutsila,” said Khoza.
Representing the parents, Charity Ramuntshi thanked ISO-Q for coming to their rescue as most of the young people were already involved in drugs and alcohol.
