Sekgopo excels at Wolkberg Games

THE Sekgopo cluster sport teams excelled during the finals of the Wolkberg Games at Kgapane Stadium last Saturday.

The games were organised by the Greater Letaba Sports Council and sponsored by the Greater Letaba Municipality.

Sekgopo teams won in men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball, while the netball winners came from Hlohlokwe.

The winning teams received new kits, trophies, gold medals and balls.

The runners-up received new kits, silver medals and balls, while the third placed teams took home bronze medals and balls.

The event kicked off with a fun walk from the Kgapane Community Hall to the stadium.

Greater Letaba mayor, City Modjadji, said the purpose of the tournament was to unearth and develop sports talent at grass roots level.
