Women show off rugby talent
The u/16 and u/18 Limpopo Blue Bulls women's rugby teams beat the Blue Bulls women's rugby teams at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday.
POLOKWANE – The u/16 and u/18 Limpopo Blue Bulls women’s rugby teams beat the Blue Bulls women’s rugby teams at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday.
In the first match, the u/18s played a seven-a-side match, where Limpopo Blue Bulls won 24-10.
In the u/16 match, Limpopo Blue Bulls won the match 17-5.
The Limpopo Blue Bulls senior team faced the Soshanguve women’s rugby team, where they lost 22-17.
The Limpopo Blue Bulls women senior team will play against Northern Cape at the Seshego Stadium on July 5. This game is part of the inter-provincial women’s B-division league.
The Limpopo Blue Bulls u/16 team will fly to Durban for the national women’s rugby games, which will take place from July 5 to 11, while the Limpopo Blue Bulls u/18 team will travel to Pretoria for a regional tournament from July 17 to 19.
Sammy Mudu, Limpopo Blue Bulls women senior rugby team head coach, said the team did well even though they allowed the opponents to score many tries. “We are going back to the drawing board to rectify the mistakes we made during the game, and we will be preparing for our next game,” he said.
