POLOKWANE – The Leopards women’s rugby team from North West gave a young inexperienced Limpopo Blue Bulls team a hammering on Saturday during their B-division league match at the Seshego Stadium.

Leopards ran circles around the Limpopo side’s defence to rake in an astonishing 11 tries to the three of the home side. It was in the second half where Leopards got the better of the Limpopo Blue Bulls, thanks to the Limpopo Blue Bulls’ captain and outside centre, Rights Mkhari, who limited the damage with three excellent tries. Mkhari’s teammate and flyhalf, Urgency Pitlo, who managed to convert one of Mkhari’s three tries.

The final score was 59-17.

The Limpopo Blue Bulls women’s team will travel to Standerton on Saturday to face the Pumas from Mpumalanga.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 15:00.
