Night ride for a great cause

Polokwane cyclists can enjoy a social ride for a good cause tomorrow (Friday).

POLOKWANE – Polokwane cyclists can enjoy a social ride for a good cause tomorrow (Friday).

The third Critical Mass Polokwane ride will take place at 18:30 and will start from Platinum Park.

Cyclists are asked to bring a dozen buttered rolls as the ride will stop halfway at House of Hope at the corner of Rissik and Voortrekker Streets, where they will serve soup and bread to people in need.

Cyclist are reminded to bring their helmets and lights for their bikes as this is a night ride.

“What makes this event special is that anyone can join in the fun. It is not a competitive ride and children and leisurely cyclists are welcome.

“We usually stop for a beverage halfway through the ride,” says Jaco Fourie, one of the organisers.

Critical Mass takes place on the last Friday of every month and the pace is very relaxed as it is a ride, not a race.
