POLOKWANE – Andy Muller and Jared Rabe were announced as the winners of the Bidvest Food Services golf tournament that was held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
Some 128 golfers demonstrated their skills during this tournament, which was played in Betterball Stableford format.
Muller and Rabe claimed the first place after they accumulated 48 points.
They were followed by Malebana Pataki and Leo Gama with 46 points on a count-in, while Nelis and Ruan Britz answered with 46 points on a count-out to claim third place.
Andrew Galloway claimed the prize for playing nearest to the pin for two at the ninth hole and Sipho Thalane won the prize for playing nearest to the pin for two at the 14th.
No players managed to get their hands on the jackpot prize of R480.
This Saturday, golfers will battle it out in the Mike’s Chicken Monthly Medal challenge.
Golfers will also gather on August 13 and 23 to qualify for the Captain’s Knock-out challenge.
The Ricoh Corporate Golf Day is due to take place at the Polokwane Golf Club today (Thursday).
