Makhado walks away with prize after Baobab

MPHO Makhado is the winner of the monthly Baobab Golf Challenge.
The tournament was held at the Tzaneen Country Club recently.
Makhado won with 35 points, and walked away with a Mercedes-Benz golf bag as well as a R1 000 cash prize.
Young golfer, Thulane Mathebula (15) won the prize for closest to pin on difficult par three stroke 12 on the second hole.
According to the organiser, Phashe Mokonyane, Mathebula beat more seasoned players by tying in second place with 34 points.
“He is playing with a handicap of 15, and with good guidance and coaching we may be looking at a rising star,” said Mokonyane.
Adam Milanzi from Polokwane won the longest drive on the fifth hole.
The tournament was sponsored by Mercurius Motors Limpopo, and attracted participants from as far as Makhado, Polokwane, Phalaborwa, Tzaneen and Hoedspruit.
The participants included the principal dealer of Mercurius Limpopo, John White, as well as the minister of public service and administration, Collins Chabane.
Prizes included Mercedes-Benz branded golf bags, travelling bags, bicycles, club covers as well as cash prizes.
