Justice wants to help fulfil soccer dreams

THE dream of playing in the Premier Soccer League might never be a reality for Justice Moabelo (39) from Ga-Matlala, but he says it is not late for young people in his village.
Moabelo is a midfielder for Pick n Pay Limpopo Mall Football Club, and runs a football club, Seema Chiefs Football Club in his village.
He says Seema Chiefs is made up of players aged between 12 and 19, and the team was formed three years ago.
“I started the team after I realised I was too old to play for my favourite team, Orlando Pirates. I want to share my soccer experience with young players who still have the chance to make it big,” says Moabelo.
He says he uses a portion of his monthly salary to help the team with equipment such soccer balls.
“I hope the team will one day produce players who will represent the province in the Premier Soccer League. I am currently looking for a suitable league for the team to compete in,” he says.
Asked about his love for soccer, the father of four says he loves that the sport keeps one fit, disciplined and healthy.
“I want to be remembered as one of those people who helped to build and nurture someone’s dream.”
Moabelo says the team is facing challenges such as a lack of money to buy quality training equipment and cannot find a suitable training ground.
“We will appreciate any help we can get.”
