A battle to the bitter end on golf course

THE Bidvest Betterball Golf Challenge turned into a tight competition on Saturday with the top three teams scoring 46 points each.

More than 100 golfers teed off in this betterball stableford competition, but in the end Joas Legodi and Charles Mdluli took the honours with 46 points on a count-in.

Willie Viljoen and Otto Muller won second prize with 46 points on a count-out, followed by Jack Chuenyane and Leo Gama also with 46 points on their scorecards.

Chuenyane had a lucky day both on and off the course He won the R2 120 jackpot, which he shared with Nick Notley.

Wynand Pretorius and Nelis Britz won the nearest to the pin competitions on the eighth and 16th holes respectively.
