Time to take on the Review Challenge

The third annual Review Golf Challenge will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Polokwane Golf Club.

POLOKWANE – The third annual Review Golf Challenge will kick off tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Polokwane Golf Club.

The challenge takes place every month until November, with the best eight scores throughout the year counting towards the overall standings.

This year, the challenge will move from the last Wednesday of every month to the third Wednesday of every month, with the second round being played on February 18.

The top three golfers on the day as well as longest drive and nearest to the pin competition winners will receive cash prizes during each monthly prize giving.

The overall winner of the Review Golf Challenge and the runner-up will win the grand prizes of this yearlong tournament.

Phil Mashakane won the Review Challenge title last year after the final round was played at the Polokwane Golf Club on November 26.

Mashakane played in all 11 golf days and scored 287 points in total.

Riaan Piek scored 283 points to take second place in the overall standings of the challenge and played in 10 of the 11 Review golf days this year, missing only the first competition that took place on January 29.
