Get ready for huge local 4-in-1 race
Polokwane Athletic Club will present the annual BMW Modern Autohaus 4-in-1 Marathon at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on February 21.
POLOKWANE – Polokwane Athletic Club will present the annual BMW Modern Autohaus 4-in-1 Marathon at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on February 21.
The 42,2km race serves as a qualifier for the Comrades and Two Oceans Marathons. There will also be 21,1km, 10km and 5km races, as well as a 60m toddler run, which makes this a fun day of running for the whole family.
The 42,2km race consists of a circular route that is fast with no major uphill runs. This makes the BMW Modern Autohaus 4-in-1 an ideal race to run personal best times.
There will be distance markers every kilometre and water points every 3km.
Walkers are welcome in the 21,1km, 10km and 5km races.
The 42,2km and 21,1km races will start at 06:30 followed by the 5km and 10km races at 06:45.
A total of R18 000 in prize money is up for grabs in various categories.
Meals will be available at the race venue at reasonable prices and a secured tog bag area and parking will be available at the venue.
Club tents are welcome at allocated areas and refreshments will be available at the venue on Friday and Saturday.
Entry fees are R10 for the toddler run, R20 for the 5km race, R40 for the 10km race, R60 for the 21,1km race, while the 42,2km race costs R80. A temporary licence for the 10km, 21,1km and 42,2km race can be bought for R25.
Entries can be done at the Polokwane Athletic Club clubhouse at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on February 18 from 18:00 to 20:00 or on February 20 at the race venue from 17:00 to 20:00.
