KLG league to kick off a new season

THE top 8 competitions of the two divisions of the Kaizer Letsoalo Games Soccer League will kick off on Saturday.

The Super 8 Cup games will be hosted at the Napscom sports ground in Tickeyline, while those of the Premier League Top 8 Soccer Challenge will be staged at Soccer City sports ground in Lephepane.

“We are excited that the management of Napscom agreed to host these opening games. Judging by the spirit of great expectations in the communities surrounding Napscom, we are set for a very interesting and highly exciting tournament,” says the chairperson of Kaizer Letsoalo Games, Marupine Sape.

Sape says the semi-finals will be played on February 7 and 8, while the finals will take place on February 15 at Soccer City.He says the winner in each division will receive a floating trophy, cash prize and gold medals.

The runners-up will receive silver medals and a cash prize.

KLG Super 8 Cup fixtures at Napscom ground on Saturday:

• Rita All Stars vs Moime Celtic at 14:00.

• Mokomotji Highlanders vs Khujwana Classic at 16:00.

Sunday:

• Napscom vs Carling at 14:00.

• Moime Liverpool vs Bancock at 16:00.

KLG Top 8 Soccer Challenge fixtures at Soccer City on Saturday:

• Manamela Naughty Boys vs Khopho All Stars at 14:00.

• Leswika Classic vs Lephepane Rovers at 16:00.

Sunday:

• Golden Aces vs Mapantsula at 14:00.

• Mogoboya Junior Chiefs vs Ramalema Cosmos at 16:00.
