Top spot for Cargo

Cargo Sports Academy, based in Mankweng unit D, topped the Polokwane Local Football Association (Polfa) log in the Mankweng A-stream after they defeated Sister Park FC 3-1

POLOKWANE – Cargo Sports Academy, based in Mankweng unit D, topped the Polokwane Local Football Association (Polfa) log in the Mankweng A-stream after they defeated Sister Park FC 3-1. The match was played at Bjatladi High School’s sports ground on Sunday.

This was the first match of the league and Cargo is on top with three points and three goals.

The head coach, Cargo Mamabolo, said they were new in the league and aimed to make an impression.

“I have a well balanced team and the players are all committed and hard working. Every team in the league just cannot wait to play against us as we are newcomers; they think they will just defeat us without a fight,” said Mamabolo.

He said the team was well prepared to face Happy Brothers FC during a match, which would be played at the unit B sports ground in Mankweng on Sunday.

Mamabolo said they were still looking for hard working players to join the academy.

“We need players who are willing to die with the team and keen to promote it to the next level. We have a club house where we accommodate all our players. Players should be willing to relocate to Mankweng and attend school there,” he said.

He said the academy focused on both sporting and academic excellence and had joined forces with Gerson Ntjie High School.

Those who are interested in joining the academy can contact Mamabolo at 078 000 2003 or 082 635 6363.
