Sports agency hosts trials to pick the best of the best at Seshego Stadium
Soccer players and aspiring scouts from across Limpopo gathered at the Seshego Stadium last Saturday to try their luck at being chosen for a talent management and mentorship programme.
POLOKWANE – Soccer players and aspiring scouts from across Limpopo gathered at the Seshego Stadium last Saturday to try their luck at being chosen for a talent management and mentorship programme.
The programme is a project by the sports agency, QT Sports, where players could be selected to join the agency as players or scouts.
Nine players from Limpopo were selected to join the agency.
Tim Sukazi, chief executive for QT Sport, said the aim of the programme was to identify young talent in the province and to give back to communities by granting aspirant sports agents the opportunity to realise their dreams.
“The purpose was to scout for young talented players and develop them to become better soccer players, as well as to give them an opportunity to stand a chance to play at professional level.
“We also develop and mentor people who want to be agents. We provide a full service, specialising in professional football in South Africa and other countries.
“As our name suggests, we pride ourselves in the quality and talent of the athletes we represent, as well as the quality of our service,” said Sukazi.
He said in order to provide an all-round service to players, they consulted with financial advisors and other expects. “Our services range from contract or transfer negotiations to all other aspects outside football, be it investments, acquisition of movable or immovable property, education or otherwise.
“We have already identified quality players, who now play in the Premier Soccer League,” he said.
