Eksteen’s karatekas bring 16 medals home

The karatekas of Eksteen Bushido Freestyle Karate do & MMA Institute brought home 16 medals after they competed in the South African Invitational Karate Championships.

POLOKWANE – The karatekas of Eksteen Bushido Freestyle Karate do & MMA Institute brought home 16 medals after they competed in the South African Invitational Karate Championships held in Pretoria recently.

Twenty karatekas from Eksteen Bushido Freestyle Karate do & MMA Institute were invited to compete in the championships. One of the most impressive displays by the dojo at the championship was that of Sensei Annatjie de Jager.

Annatjie is assistant to Henry Eksteen, owner of the dojo, she took part in the veteran woman’s division and received gold for Kata and silver for Kumite.

The dojo was also invited to compete in the South African National Goju Ryu Karate Championships in Pretoria.
