LIMPOPO – A SINGLE goal from Papino Komape of Ext 71 Love and Peacemakers FC was enough for the team to continue with their winning streak at the Ext 75 sports ground on Sunday, where they beat Value FC 1-0.
The only goal from Komape in the 77th minute following a mistake by their opponents, saw Peacemakers lead the match after they struggled to maintain the game in the first half.
After half-time, Peacemakers learned from their mistakes and came back in full force but their striking forces missed out on several chances.
Govern Chokwe of Value FC gave the opponents’ defenders a hard time throughout the match.
Solly “Slender” Moagi of Peacemakers had a difficult first half with only one strike which was blocked by Tumi Manyane in the 49th minute.
Value FC captain, Albert Dingwane, congratulated the team for their efforts.
“This was a good game for us even with our mistakes. We will go back to the drawing board to improve on our games,” said Dingwane.
Peacemakers coach, Samuel Marakalala, praised the players on their hard work.
“Having Dhino Marakalala on the bench did not affect us a lot.
“We know very well that the players need to rest. The game was difficult for us, but we are glad that the game went according to our plans as a team. We relied on Moagi, pity he had a challenge as the opponents’ eyes were all on him. Even though the game was not on our side, we are glad we managed to win it,” Marakalala said.
Value FC coach, Abia Manaka said: “the players played a very good game. We made many silly mistakes for which we got punished. There is no one to blame,” said Manaka.
