HPP cricketers ready for action
THE first cricket team of Hoërskool Piet Potgieter is ready for the season. Their first match kicks off this Saturday (22 August) on their home ground against Hoërskool Ben Vorster.
MOKOPANE – THE first cricket team of Hoërskool Piet Potgieter is dressed for success and ready for the season thanks to their sponsors Comanche Spur, Kia Mokopane, Barbarian sport and Aron’s sport.
Their first match kicks off this Saturday (22 August) on their home ground against Hoërskool Ben Vorster.
“We truly appreciate our sponsors, especially Barbarain and Aron’s sport for the donation of the cricket kits.
“A big thanks to Stuart Jones, manager of Comanche Spur and Muneer Mohammed, dealer principal at Kia Mokopane, for assisting the team in getting a head start,” said Bradley Pieterse, proud coach.
“We are very exited for this season and we hope to make the school, our sponsors and all of our supports proud,” Alf Darvall, team manager, and De Wet Kruger, team director, said.
Arno van der Merwe, Thabo Ndwaba, Corrie Bothma, Christiaan Swanepoel, Cobus van Wyk, Hansie Engelbrecht, Johnty Darvall, JD Vorster, Mantshesane Sekwakwa, Jaco van Rooyen, Waldo Kruger, Dries Visagie and Ajay Willemse are the proud wearers of the new first team cricket jersey on Saturday.
