The u/21 Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls will play in the Absa Currie Cup Group B finals after their victory against the GWK Griquas.
POLOKWANE – The u/21 Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls will play in the Absa Currie Cup Group B finals after their victory against the GWK Griquas.
The Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls played the semi-final of the u/21 Absa Currie Cup Group B against the GWK Griquas on Saturday, 3 October at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.
With a lot at stake, the Bulls played hard to win this semi-final after they lost the semi-finals for the past two years.
The Limpopo Blue Bulls quickly scored a try in the first half, answered by a try from the Griquas. At half time, the Limpopo Blue Bulls were in a comfortable 17-5 lead, but it was short-lived as the Griquas retaliated after the beating of the first half.
The final score was 22-19 in favour of the Bulls, securing their spot in the finals. The Bulls will face off against the South Western District in the finals at Profert Olen Park in Potchefstroom.
“I think we are ready for the finals, the players have been working hard and I am sure we will bring back the trophy,” Charles van Wyk, Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls office manager, said.
