Pick n Pay, Pietersburg Tyres golf day action
The Pick n Pay and Pietersburg Tyres Individual Stableford Golf Challenge took place at the Polokwane Golf Club on Wednesday, 14 October with 65 golfers competing throughout the day.
Kobus Marnewick claimed first place with 45 points. Pieter du Toit finished second with 42 points and Vincent Olley took third place with 41 points.
The jackpot was drawn by Johan Peyper and was won by Mpho Makhado who claimed the prize of 2 830 units with a payable amount of 2 250 units.
Bennie Hattingh played nearest to the pin at hole four and Albert Botha at hole eight. Tony Plaatjies played nearest to the pin at hole 11 and Anthony Olley played nearest to the pin at hole 16.
HIEB hosts golf day at club
Help In Every Burden (HIEB) organised a golf day for players to enjoy at the Polokwane Golf Club on Thursday, 15 October as fundraiser to improve the HIEB facilities.
The golf day was played in a four ball alliance two scores to count golf challenge.
The team prizes went to Carel Swart, Casper Gifillian, Dawid van der Walt and Morne Myburgh in first place with a total of 93 points. Liano Viviers, Patrick Cahill, Andrew Galloway and Roelf de Beer came second with a total of 92 points, and Shaun Mouton, Wimpie Knoesen, Nic Notley and Las du Plessis finished third with a total of 90 points.
The nearest to the pin on hole four was played by Ken Hart, nearest to hole eight was Morne Myburgh, hole 11 was Las Du Plessis and hole 16 was Piet Venter. The longest drive on hole two was played by Ryan Chandler. Benhardt Steyn had the longest drive.
