Mike’s Chicken Monthly Medal action
Henry Thomas proved to be the best golfer in the A-Division men's category as he claimed the first place after accumulating 71 nett points during the Mike's Chicken Monthly Medal Golf Challenge held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
POLOKWANE – Henry Thomas proved to be the best golfer in the A-Division men’s category as he claimed the first place after accumulating 71 nett points during the Mike’s Chicken Monthly Medal Golf Challenge held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday. He was followed by Thabo Shingange in second place with 72 nett points. Thomas received the Chicken Award while Shingange received the Mug and Chicken Award.
Thomas Mnguni was awarded playing nearest to pin four while Henry Thomas received the prize for driving the ball nearest to pin eight. Patric Cahil made the jackpot lucky draw at holes six, seven, 10 and 16.
The jackpot was won by Charly Smith who walked away with 400 units. The jackpot was standing at 500 units but only 400 was payable. The tournament was attended by 73 golfers from the province. Golfers who scored two-clubs were Theuns van Tonder, Riaan Smit, Charles Hardy, Thomas Mnguni, Graig Young and Henry Thomas. Each golfer won 50 units for claiming two-clubs.
