Lace up for the BMW Modern Autohaus 4-in-1 race

The Polokwane Athletic Club will host the annual BMW 4-in-1 Race on Saturday, 20 February

POLOKWANE – The race serves as a qualifying race for the Comrades Marathon, as well as the Two Oceans Marathon.

Participants can choose between the 5km, 10km, 21km or 42km distances. Walkers are welcome in all races except the full marathon. There will be a 60m toddler run or crawl for children under the age of six.

All the races will start and finish on the B and C rugby fields at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The 21km and 42km races will start at 06:30, while 5km and 10km races will start at 06:45. The 60m kiddies race will start at 10:30.

The first 150 entries for the 42km race and first 50 for the 21km race will receive T-shirts. Pre-entries close on Friday, 12 February.

Entry forms are downloadable from www.modernautohaus4in1.co.za or www.polokwaneathleticclub.co.za. Submit completed entry forms along with proof of payment to 4in1marathon@gmail.com.

Entry forms are also available at BMW reception or the clubhouse of Polokwane Athletic Club on Wednesday evenings 17:00 until 19:00.

Entries and collection of race numbers will be on Wednesday, 17 February from 17:30 to 20:00 at the Polokwane Athletic Club clubhouse at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, as well as the Friday before the race from 17:00 until 20:00 and on the morning of the race from 04:30 until five minutes before the starting time.

Participants of the 10km, 21km and 42km races should be in possession of a provincial road race licence. Temporary licences will be sold at the venue before the start of the race for R30.

All runners over the age of 70 years do not have to pay the race running fees, but must pay the fees for a temporary number if not a member of a registered club. ID books must be produced for the free race number.
