The Northern Knights Cricket Club faced off against the Apothen Panthers Cricket Club in the second round of the Capricorn T20 League on the pitch of the Polokwane Cricket Club on Sunday, 2 September.

POLOKWANE Some near-misses and action-packed cricket ensured spectators were kept on the edge of their seat for the entire match which Apothen Panthers won with three wickets.

Panthers won the toss and sent Northern Knights in to bat first.

The Knights scored 123 runs all out and Apothen Panthers took to the pitch with a clear goal and they did not hold back, going all out to secure the win. Some of the best bowlers on the day for Apothen Panthers included Mohammed Safyan Dalla with three wickets, Mohamed Ashraf and Asim Bha with two wickets each.

The best batsmen were Mohammed Safyan Dalla with 29 runs and Muhammed Saahil Sagir with 37 runs. The Apothen Panthers will face the PanSolutions Eagles Cricket Club this Sunday, 9 September at the Polokwane Cricket Club.
