Seshego Cricket Club crowned 2018/19 T20 champions

The club, who are also the premier league champions, beat Nkowankowa Cricket Club by seven wickets in a nail biting game at the Polokwane Cricket Club on Sunday.

POLOKWANE – Having won the toss, Nkowankowa opted to bat first but lost three quick wickets thanks to the bowling of Sahil Patel and Amir Bux as well as Seshego’s top bowler, Ben Skade who took three wickets in four overs. Steadying on, Nkowankowa managed to score 114 runs thanks to their top batsman, Nhlanhla Shikwambana who scored 37 runs from 46 balls, which included four fours.

Ready for action, Seshego took to the field to bat and got off to a great start thanks to the batting of Isaac Senatla (23) and Thando Bula (10). They, however, lost two quick wickets, but a quick partnership between Lerato Kgoatle and their top batsman for the day, Katlego Sempe who scored 33 runs from 28 balls, not out, which included two fours and one six, helped steady the ship. Seshego won the game, scoring 115/3.
