Black Leopards hope for a win against Maritzburg United
Black Leopards face Maritzburg United at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 21 November.
LIMPOPO – Three matches into the 2020/2021 DStv Premiership season and Black Leopards are yet to record a single point.
Lidoda Duvha (The day will come) lost 2-0 to AmaZulu in their last outing, which was played at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium. They are currently in the last spot on the log, as the season takes a breather with the mandatory FIFA international break. They face Maritzburg United at the Thohoyandou Stadium on 21 November in their next match.
United are also pointless heading into the break, and both teams will be desperate to get off the mark when the season resumes.
Their coach, Patrick Aussems said they would go all-out in their upcoming matches.
Limpopo-rivals, Baroka FC have had a decent start to the season and currently occupy second spot on the log.
Bakgakga are yet to lose a match, with two wins and a draw from their first three outings. Their next challenge is against new boys, Tshakhuma Tshamadzivhandila (TTM), in the second Limpopo-derby of the season. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:30 on 22 November at the Thohoyandou Stadium.
Baroka’s caretaker coach, Thoka Matsimela, said their priority was to win the league, but should they fail to do that, they would hope to win some silverware in the cup competitions.
TTM have recorded two points in their first three matches, with two draws and a loss. Their coach, Joel Masutha, said they will put more work into their strikers, so that they could be sharp in front of goal.
