Mighty Brothers ready for the challenge

The team is affiliated to the Thohoyandou Local Football Association and were recently promoted to the SAB League for the upcoming season

LIMPOPO – Attorney Ernest Nemusimbori from Lwamondo village established Lwamondo Mighty Brothers in 2020, after he noticed that youth from the village and surrounds were involved in crime.

“I used to work at Vuwani Magistrate’s Court as a legal representative and noted most crimes were committed by young people. I was born and raised here and decided to do something for young people to keep them busy, hence the formation of Lwamondo Mighty Brothers,” he explained.

The team is affiliated to the Thohoyandou Local Football Association and were recently promoted to the SAB League for the upcoming season, scheduled to start later this month.

The team was promoted after they beat Diabuse FC in their promotional play-off.

On October 2, Nemusimbori decided to reward his players with a glittering event held at Phophi Leisure Resort in Lwamondo. The team received a big trophy, while players received medals and had a big celebration party.

According to Nemusimbori, the team has to work hard so that they can reach their dream of playing in the ABC Motsepe League next season.

Team captain Thuso Mangenge was over the moon when he found out that their hard work was recognised by the founder. “We worked hard and practiced regularly and that is why we ended up on top. Our hard work is being recognised and we will soon start our preparations for the new season,” said Mangenge.
