Strong Limpopo bowls team selected for national competition
Polokwane Bowls Club sectretary Evelyn Cloete says they are proud of their team members who will represent Limpopo at the National Inter-District Bowls Competition.
POLOKWANE – The players were selected at the provincial bowls trials held in Polokwane recently and the competition will take place in Gauteng in March next year.
The team comprises experienced campaigners Danie du Bruyn, Evelyn Cloete, Lisa du Bruyn, Shiela Sasser, Aggie Ascenco, Coenie Venter, Gorman Cloete, Lyn Lambert and Issie Coetzer.
Cloete said she has confidence that the team will do well in the competition.
“We started with preparations and everything is going according to plan,” Cloete said.
They will first participate in the Gauteng and Mpumalanga bowls challenges in January and February respectively.
“We will use the two events to prepare for the National Inter-District Bowls Competition. We will be facing tough bowls players from various clubs in the country whom have personal coaches but we are ready for the challenge.”
