Trophy tour in Seshego, Polokwane and Moletjie for Magezi FC

The club officially received their Motsepe Foundation trophy from the Premier Soccer League on May 19.

POLOKWANE – The 2023/24 champions of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Magezi Football Club, will embark on a trophy tour in Seshego, Moletjie and Polokwane in the last week of May.

The club officially received their Motsepe Foundation trophy from the Premier Soccer League after their match against Venda Football Club played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on May 19.

Abel Rakoma, club spokesperson said they want to thank the supporters, stakeholders and the people of Seshego, Moletjie and Polokwane.

“We want to share the silverware with them. This is our first major trophy and it will only be befitting to parade it to them and let them celebrate the team with us. The club belongs to the community and we want them to travel with on our success journey.”

Rakoma said the trophy will also be presented to Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto and of the Moletjie Tribal Authority.

“Before the start of the season, the team went to the royal house to ask blessings from Kgoshi Moloto. By going to the royal house, we will be saying ‘thank you’ to him and the tribal authority.”

Rakoma further stated that they will sit down with the technical director to see how they can reinforce the team ahead of the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season.

“Our focus was to win the league and we did that. We have not started planning for next season but we will reinforce the team. We are still going to sit down as the managemnt and we make that announcement.”
