Baroka FC to start upcoming season with new sponsor

Maepa Paki Mphahlele, managing director of the Mafori Group, said they welcome the opportunity to be an additional sponsor of the Baroka Football Club.

POLOKWANE – Baroka Football Club have partnered with the Mafori Group ahead of the new Motsepe Foundation Championship which resumes on September 14.

“This is a historic collaboration between Baroka institutions. The owners of Baroka Football Club and the Mafori Group are the descendants of Bakgaga ba Mphahlele. The owner of Baroka Football Club is fondly known as Ngwana-Mafori while the owner of Mafori Group is the son of Mafori Charles Mphahlele. The Mafori Group is named after the latter. “

Mphahlele added that they look forward, with excitement and enthusiasm, to using this partnership to uplift the livelihoods of those who will support and benefit from it.

“The duration of the sponsorship is three years, renewable upon agreement by the two parties. Its start date is August 1 and ends on June 30, 2027. The items to be sponsored during the three seasons covers the inclusion of the Mafori Group logo on the left sleeve of the new Baroka Football Club jersey and other materials that publicise the contract.
