Polokwane’s Ranch Resort hosts Riders Grand Prix

The SA Riders Grand Prix show jumping event at The Ranch Resort drew over 100 riders and horses, with a prize pool of R150 000.

POLOKWANE – The Ranch Resort hosted the SA Riders Grand Prix show jumping event on the weekend of August 17-18, drawing more than 100 riders and their horses.

With a prize pool of R150 000 and additional sponsored rewards, participants put forth their best efforts in every round.

Riders from Zimbabwe also entered, making the event a truly international affair.

Heather Mpofu served on the Ground Jury, while Frans Raboshakga assisted course designer Kate Launder in orchestrating this glamorous competition.

• 60cm pony rider: Layah Gliksman on Jack Sprat.
• 70/80cm pony rider: Alleyah Omar on Bella Boo.
• 90/1.10m pony rider: Chloe Mohr on Lekker L’il Firecracker.
• 80/90cm A/J: Khali de Wet on Xan Zim Shakira.
• 1m A/J: Liela Massyn on Radical Faith.
• 1.10m A/J: Emily Kruger on She’s the One.
• 1.20m A/J: Micah Chalker on Callaho Leopold.
• 1.30m A/J: Tasmin Maher on Leoni’s Secret.
• Bronze tour GP: James Kane-Berman on Callaho Contanga.
• Silver tour GP: Chelsey Gertenbach on Capital Chico.
• Gold tour GP: Lorette Taylor on Oripeau D’Emma.
