Magesi FC welcomes former Bafana player

Magesi FC boosts technical team with Papi Zothwane's appointment ahead of Premier Soccer League debut.

POLOKWANE – Magesi Football Club has bolstered its technical team with the addition of former Bafana Bafana international, Papi Zothwane.

The KwaZulu-Natal native brings a wealth of experience to the club, having previously coached at Polokwane City Football Club and Uthongathi.

Zothwane’s impressive career began at Golden Arrows Football Club before he moved to Mamelodi Sundowns.

His expertise is expected to greatly enhance Magesi’s performance as he joins forces with Clinton Larsen for the upcoming Premier Soccer League season.

Club spokesperson Abel Rakoma expressed enthusiasm about Zothwane’s arrival.

“We are thrilled to have Papi Zothwane join our team. His extensive coaching background with other professional clubs will undoubtedly add significant value to Magesi Football Club.”

As Magesi prepares to face Sekhukhune United in their Premier Soccer League opener on September 18 at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex, Rakoma has called on supporters to rally behind the team.

“This is our debut match in the Premier Soccer League, and we need the 12th man – our loyal supporters. We invite fans from across the province to come to the stadium and support us. Your backing was crucial during our Motsepe Foundation League campaign, and we hope you will continue this journey with us in the Premier Soccer League.”
