POLOKWANE – A spirited group of 120 golfers turned out for the third annual Kilimanjaro Golf Day, enjoying camaraderie and thrilling competition at the Polokwane Golf Club on November 22.
The tournament featured an individual stableford format, kicking off with Capricorn District Mayor Mamedupi Teffo taking the ceremonial first shot. Businesses and sponsors added to the vibrant atmosphere by setting up interactive stalls along the course.
“We know golf is a game of the elite. I challenge you to change the narrative and make the game accessible and understandable. This plays a critical role in the sport economy of the Capricorn District Municipality. We need to see more of these kinds of tournaments happening in the district,” Teffo said.
