Black Leopards sack coach and his assistant

Black Leopards fired coach Maxwell Konadu and assistant Solly Luvhengo after a loss to Leruma FC, appointing Zeca Marques as new head coach.

LIMPOPO – Maxwell Konadu and his assistant, Solly Luvhengo are jobless men. They were fired after the team’s defeat in their match against Leruma FC on February 2.

Everything looked fine until Black Leopards played their first league match. Lidoda Duvha spent most of their time defending as if they were leading.

The management of Leopards was not happy with the pattern that was used in the match and the performance of the team. They revealed this by sacking Konadu and his assistant, Luvhengo, during a special meeting that was held later that evening.

Solly Luvhengo, was dismissed by Leopards.

According to the club’s chairperson, Tshifhiwa Thidiela, the team’s future looked bleak under the guidance of Konadu. Thidiela further argued that their 0-1 defeat at the hands of Leruma was the result of Konadu’s poor coaching.

Black Leopards appointed former Moroka Swallows coach Zeca Marques as head coach last Monday afternoon. He will be assisted by, Joel “Prophet” Masutha who resigned as the coach of Baroka FC.

The second assistant is Abel Makhubele. Under their guidance, Leopards won 3-0 against Cape Town Spurs at Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.
