POLOKWANE – Polokwane hosted two PSL Betway Premiership matches at the old and new Peter Mokaba Stadiums respectively on April 5, where fans travelled from near and far, wearing their favourite team T-shirts and signature DIY hats.
As it marked the last match for coach Jose Riveiro with his contract not having been renewed, it was somewhat of a bittersweet moment at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium as Orlando Pirates triumphed 1-0 over Polokwane City on April 5.
After scoring no goals in the first half, Riveiro brought on substitutes Tshegofatso Mabasa and Kabelo Dlamini, just before the one-hour mark.
Eight minutes later, Nkosinathi Sibisi netted for Pirates in what would turn out to be the winning goal.

Later the same evening, fans made their way to the new Peter Mokaba Stadium to watch Kaizer Chiefs play against TS Galaxy FC. The teams tied 1-1 in the last remaining five minutes.
With moments of tension on both sides from players and spectators, the match remained even without a clear dominator in this final leg.
At the end of the game, Kaizer Chiefs and TS Galaxy FC remained tied at 1-1. Goal scorers were Wandile Duba and Spiwe Msimango.
