POLOKWANE – In support of the SPCA and other community charities, the first Polokwane Review Charity Golf Day was successfully held at the Polokwane Golf Club, with 128 players in 32 teams competing in the betterball stableford format.
Northern Media Group (NMG) branch manager Mario Janse van Rensburg expressed gratitude to the main sponsors, Westvaal Polokwane and Ricoh, for ensuring the success of the day.
He also thanked other key contributors, including EH Hassim Hardware, Excelsior Paints, Makro, Devil’s Peak, Lasher Tools, Ingco Tools, Jojo Tanks and Ga-Willie Roller Mills.
Hole sponsors included Westvaal, Lebowa Funerals, Meropa Casino and Ithuba Security, The Ranch Resort, First Technology, Theo Goosen Properties, Fusion Boutique Hotel, CRD, Toyota, Remax, Westvaal Trucks, Hollywood Bets, Bidfood and Ricoh.

On the course, Stefan Blount played nearest to the pin on hole eight, while Peter Adams claimed nearest to the pin for two on the ninth.
Shaun Mouton drove the longest on the 12th hole, Divan Minnaar excelled at Ricoh 18, and Herman Coetzer and Brayton Karassellos were recognised for playing the most golf.
The proceeds will also benefit Lucky Paws Rescue, Bethesda and Gae Ga Mahlako.
