Limpopo celebrated coaches, athletes and volunteers for developing provincial sport at its annual Sport and Recreation Awards.
LIMPOPO – Sports personalities and organisations from across Limpopo were honoured for their outstanding achievements at the Provincial Sport and Recreation Awards, hosted by the Department of Sport at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane on Saturday.
The annual ceremony aims to recognise, reward and celebrate athletes and sports administrators for their iconic and meritorious contributions to sport and recreation in the province. The MEC, Jerry Maseko said the awards acknowledge the dedication and hard work of individuals who play a key role in developing sport in Limpopo.
“These awards are an indication of government’s commitment to the promotion and development of sport and recreation among all our people. They not only recognise sporting heroes, but also those who work behind the scenes to shape and develop our sportsmen and women.”
