King of Karts debut thrills racers and spectators at Meropa

The inaugural King of Karts go-kart competition drew strong crowds at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World, showcasing young talent and competitive racing.

POLOKWANE – The inaugural King of Karts go-kart competition proved to be an electrifying experience for both racers and spectators when it was held on Sunday at the Wild Thingz track at Meropa Casino and Entertainment World.

Organised by Big Bunny Events, the competition featured children and adults racing eight laps on the track, with a minimum height requirement of 1.4m. Event organiser Shaheed Saleh Mohamed said more than 100 people attended, creating an energetic and supportive atmosphere throughout the day.

Ismaeel Ayob gets out of the go-kart after taking first place in the adult King of Karts competition.

“The junior category was particularly exciting and showcased impressive young talent,” Mohamed said, adding that the enthusiasm on and off the track contributed to the event’s success.

Following the positive response to the debut event, organisers have already begun preparations for the next King of Karts competition, provisionally scheduled for March 1, subject to logistical arrangements.

Mohamed thanked all competitors and spectators for their support and also expressed appreciation to Meropa.
