De Beer clinches Lim Closed

Amicus de Beer claimed overall honours at the Limpopo Closed Strokeplay Championship 2026 at Polokwane Golf Club.

POLOKWANE – Amicus de Beer secured the overall victory at the Limpopo Closed Strokeplay Championship 2026, which was played at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.

A total of 74 players competed in the championship, enjoying a competitive day on the course as they aimed to take home top honours. De Beer delivered a standout performance to clinch the title.

On Sunday, the Limpopo Closed Foursomes 2026 got underway, also at the Polokwane Golf Club. Erik Holtzhausen and Shaun Mouton took the early lead in the foursomes competition.

  • Neil Rathmann with 143 gross score.
  • Vian Kruger with 145 gross score.
  • Riaan Piek is the senior winner with 152 gross score.
  • Brian Mawasha is the B division winner with 168 gross score.
  • Zijuan Muller is the junior winner with 181 gross score.
  • Lesiba Charles Dipela is the C division winner with 193 gross score.
