With a property career spanning nearly three decades, Philip Schalkwyk brings experience, local knowledge, and a lifelong connection to Limpopo to every deal.

His journey in real estate began at Schalk Schalkwyk Estate Agents from 1996 to 2004, followed by a period with RE/MAX Ballito between 2013 and 2014, before joining Theo Goosen Estate Agents in April 2014.

Specialising in farms across Limpopo, he offers something few can match – a genuine farming background combined with firsthand knowledge of the area.

What sets him apart is his straightforward approach, built on honesty, commitment, and a willingness to go the extra mile. He believes that building a relationship with a client is at the heart of property, and trust is earned through consistency and trustworthiness over time.

If he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with family, around a braai, and relaxing at his holiday home in Ballito.

The best advice he has ever received is a simple but powerful: “Bite off more than you can chew — then chew it.”

Polokwane and the greater Limpopo region hold deep personal meaning.  “The reason is simple: the Bushveld, and its people, are unmatched,” he says.

Over the years, there have been many memorable client requests, but one particularly unusual enquiry that stands out, is someone determined to purchase his Kierieklapper home, despite it not being on the market.

As for his dream home, the perfect setting would be combining the best of both worlds: sweeping Bushveld views, a welcoming boma, and even a glimpse of the sea.
