Since stepping into the property industry in 2022, Theo Goosen Jr has quickly built a reputation as a practical, numbers-driven estate agent.

Starting at Theo Goosen Estate Agents under the guidance of his dad, Francois Goosen and Raymond Pratt, he has developed a strong foundation rooted in mentorship, market knowledge, and most importantly, customer service.

He specialises in residential, industrial, and commercial property, but what truly sets him apart, is a firm belief in working with facts rather than assumptions.

According to him, trust, is built through consistent and honest communication. “I inform clients at every stage of the buying or selling process,” he adds. Even after a sale is signed, sealed, and delivered, his support continues.

Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors and sport. Golf and padel provide both fitness and social connection. His passion for property extends into his personal life too, DIY projects at home, gardening, and renovation projects keep him busy.

The best advice he has ever received: “Use the facts, give an honest experience, and remember that consistency is key.”

He believes Polokwane and Limpopo offer a unique quality of life. The diversity of the people, the strong sense of community, and how close you are to gems like Tzaneen and Haenertsburg, make it a special place to live and work in.

He remembers one unusual request he encountered, a client wanting a very small erf to serve multiple purposes — building a home, farming mielies, and operating a small café, this was a reminder of how diverse property dreams can be, especially in this province.

His own dream home? It comes down to space and light: an open-plan living area flowing into a braai area, filled with natural light, and when it is time to relax, the perfect choice is clear: The bush and braai is the ideal combination.
