According to Renault, the new Sandero is one of its kind with its modern and refined design, F1-inspired performance-plus engine which boasts with an excellent fuel economy with 5,2l/100km, unique safety levels and the inclusion of “big car” features and smart technology.
Renaults states: “Because of its unparalleled value proposition, the new Sandero is set to become the new reference among cars priced under R150 000, a strategic segment which weights no less than 60 000 sales per annum”.
Youthful and modern styling displays a mix of visible quality and refinement. While Renault’s globally recognised, centre-piece diamond-shaped badge dominates the black grille and underscores the brand’s new design identity, a trendy, integrated roof spoiler, body-coloured side mirrors and 15-inch wheels which are standard across the range, add to its new exterior appeal.
To optimise driving pleasure, the dashboard features a sophisticated cluster with chrome detailing around the dials and boasts an array of techno-smart yet practical instrumentation.
The top of the range Dynamique Turbo pushes the boundaries in terms of refinement with standard 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights with chrome surrounds and body-coloured door handles. The perceived quality of the interior treatment is also impressive, with seats covered with dark padded fabric upholstery, chrome door handles and, as a truly classy touch, leather-clad steering wheel and gear lever knob.
The new Sandero comfortably accommodates the driver and four adult passengers plus luggage. Its boot capacity of 292 litres can be enlarged thanks to its 60/40 split rear bench and is standard across the range.
The new Sandero, says Renault is the only model of its class to offer a petrol Turbo engine. The Sandero Turbo reaches a top speed of 175km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 11,1 seconds.
It has a steady low-end torque which reaches a maximum of 135Nm from 2 500rpm, 90% of which is being available from 2 000rpm. The Sandero Turbo boasts an impressive fuel consumption of 5,2 litres/100km and emits only 119g CO² and is therefore exempt from CO² emission tax.
The Sandero comes with Renault’s five year/150 000km warranty completed by a standard two- year/30 000km service plan with service intervals every 15 000km.

Standard paint colour options includes white and navy blue (both solid) and an optional range of fresh new metallic colour variants, namely Flame Red, Mercury Silver, Pearl Black, Beige and Persian Blue, which is the new Renault Sandero’s signature launch colour.
