Residents show off their talent
The Chemical Reaction Dance Group will represent South Africa in Croatia, Portugal and Las Vegas soon.
POLOKWANE – The Chemical Reaction Dance Group will represent South Africa in Croatia, Portugal and Las Vegas soon.
There are five members in the group and they are all from Westenburg. To raise money for their trip abroad, the group hosted the Headlines Talent Show at the Polokwane Wrestling Hall on Friday evening. About 60 people attended the event.
There were five categories, which included poetry, rap, group dancers, solo dancers and singing. There was also an overall winner.
The winners in each category:
• Lufundo Mthombeni – poetry and overall winner.
• Trecia Legodi – rap.
• Critical Dance Crew, Karabo Mohlaba and Phuthi Shilajoe – group dancers.
• Godfrey Kwena – solo dancer.
There was also a beauty pageant, where Comfort Kgobe was crowned Miss Headlines. Patience Shaba was second princess and Tshegofatso Khwinana was first princess.
The event ended with a performance from the Chemical Reaction Dance Group.
