THERE are no hard feelings between DJ Bambo (Solomon Ramaoka) and Capricorn FM, even though he was not included in the radio station’s new line- up that was announced a month ago.
DJ Bambo was with the station for a season as disc spinner on the Mix Down Avenue show on Fridays and Saturdays. He said the fact that his contract was not renewed was not a problem for him, as it allowed him more time to concentrate on his music.
“The opportunity I was afforded by the station was great, and it helped to put my name on the map. I realise that no one is irreplaceable in the world of entertainment,” he said.
He said he was now focussing on his new interest, that of being a biker and working for charity, which he said fed his soul. “I have been a biker for a very long time, but I only recently joined a club, which I find very exciting,” he said.
He said Capricorn FM listeners could still hear him from time to time when the station needed a DJ to play at events.
Sapa Yopa president Sarel Nong confirmed DJ Bambo was part of their club.
