Valuation roll objections period
THE period to object to the new general valuation roll of the city has been extended by the Polokwane Municipality.

THE period to object to the new general valuation roll of the city has been extended by the Polokwane Municipality.
The roll will now be open for inspection until June 23.
The municipality also extended an invitation to all property owners and residents to lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter reflected in or omitted from the supplementary valuation roll.
In terms of section 50 (2) of the Municipal Property Rates Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the general valuation roll as such.
The prescribed forms for lodging of an objection are available at the following municipal offices:
• The Civic Centre;
• The municipal rates hall in Polokwane;
• The municipal rates hall in Seshego;
• The municipal rates hall in Mankweng, and
• the municipal rates hall in Sebayeng.
Residents can also view the roll and find the necessary forms for objectons on the municipality’s website at www.polokwane.gov.za. The completed forms must be returned to the Municipal Manager, PO Box 111, Polokwane 0700 or submitted at any of the above offices.
