An exciting chapter in Polokwane's culinary world will start soon with the very first Limpopo Junior Chef competition taking place throughout the city in the next few months.

POLOKWANE – An exciting chapter in Polokwane’s culinary world will start soon with the very first Limpopo Junior Chef competition taking place throughout the city in the next few months.

This new culinary competition for talented high school learners who love to cook is set to take place from July 26.

With contestants cooking to meet and impress chef Sarel Loots, also known as Sarel van Sabie of Masterchef SA fame in the finals, the stakes are high.

Local connoisseur and two time Bring & Braai finalist, Dirk Liebenberg, will judge the budding chefs throughout the trials and finals.

Liebenberg will be assisted by chefs from Bolivia Lodge, Saskia Fine Dining Restaurant and Protea Hotel Ranch Resort as guest judges in each round.

The winners of the competition can expect to win huge culinary prizes including a week with chef Mary Martin of Masterchef SA fame.

Entries cost R250 per learner and anyone between the ages of 15 and 18 is welcome to enter this exciting competition.
