SINCE its launch early in 2011, the first generation Sandero Stepway has successfully blazed a red-hot trail, significantly popularising the crossover concept in South Africa.

Now the all-new Sandero Stepway takes a gigantic leap forward.

Young, cool, vibrant, funky yet refined, the New Sandero Stepway takes Renault’s new design identity to the next level.

A leather-clad steering wheel and gear lever knob add that extra look and feel of quality and refinement, while the front seats’ fabric includes a distinctive Stepway signature.

The new Sandero Stepway is available in exclusive Azurite Blue, which underscores its young and energetic personality, which is among four other colours available.

The new generation three cylinder turbo engine which produces 66kW of power fitted in the new Sandero Stepway (and shared with the Clio), is highly efficient, thanks to its aluminium block, low inertia turbo and variable valve timing (VVT).

The Sandero Stepway reaches a top speed of 175km/h and accelerates from zero to 100km/h in only 11,1 seconds.

Maximum torque is 135Nm from 2 500rpm, 90% of which is already available from 2 000rpm.

New Sandero Stepway also offers passive safety features protecting the driver and all passengers, whether seated front or back. In addition to front seat belts with load limiters and Isofix fasteners for child and baby seats, it boasts front side airbags and three-point safety belts for the three passengers seated in the rear.

In line with Renault’s uncompromising stance on safety, the body structure has reinforced programmed crumple zones, and the shape, thickness and rigidity of the front bumper and bonnet area are designed for improved impact absorption.

The new Sandero Stepway derivative comes standard with Renault’s industry-leading five-year or 150 000km warranty plus a two-year or 30 000km service plan with service intervals every 15 000km.

In line with Renault’s objective to be positioned in the top five in terms of parts pricing, the new Sandero Stepway’s owners are assured they will find running costs favourably affordable.
