Radio station hosts 3rd Heritage Fest

THE Royal Gardens at the Nandoni Dam in Venda will host the third Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival on September 13.

The festival is made possible by a special partnership between Phalaphala FM, SABC 2 and the Royal Gardens.

According to SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago, the music festival will offer the best of South African music and it will cater to every musical taste.

“In celebration of 20 years of democracy, we bring you the hits and legends of the music scene from the past 20 years.

“We will celebrate the country’s achievements with everyone who will take part at the festival. The festival was launched in 2012,” says Kganyago.

The line-up will include Oliver Mtukudzi, Mafikizolo, Ringo Madlingozi, Kanda Bongo Man, Khuli Chana, DJs Fresh and Euphonik, MiCasa and Big Nuz.

SABC 2 personalities will also be present at the festival.

Tickets cost R150 and are available from Computicket. The pre-party will take place at the Khoroni Hotel in Thohoyandou on September 12.
